What I was feeling when Gatsby died

When Gatsby died I felt my heart stop beating in my chest. I couldn’t breath, for once I was truly without words. I was sad for my friend who passed too soon from this world because of how he always made this world a better place in it. I felt pain for the pain that his death will cause Daisy and Nick to feel and pain of not being able to grow closer as a friend to Gatsby. While he might have been a crook was a good man who in the very end did everything for Daisy, for love, and that is what made him such a good man.
I felt pain in knowing that his death could have been prevented. I also felt angry that his murder had no real right to kill him because he wasn’t having an affair with Myrtle, and Daisy told me the truth that she accidentally killed the woman. I was angry at the world because if he was to kill anyone then it should have been Tom. He was the one who was undeserving of Daisy and he was the one who hit women.
I felt that our friendships would crumble after this. There was no more secrets or lies to tie us all together, only my own lies that I have made. I felt that without Gatsby that Daisy had no real purpose for living. I think that when she didn’t know if he was dead or alive it was better for her because she could still hope he was out there. I could feel the anger in Nicks voice and how much this has change him. The he was no longer the same gentleman that I fell in love with but one who has been change by grief and death itself.

What I was thinking when I learned that Gatsby was the man from Daisy’s past

When Gatsby’s butler came up to me in the middle of the party I had been drinking and was thinking that I would be in for a great surprise or a terrible event would occur. I had hear all the rumors about how he had been a murder and I had was a little scared for a moment. When I finally came into the study he was standing broodingly by the window, I had been think that maybe I wasn’t going to me murdered. Then he started to talk and it was clear to me that that was all that was all that we were going to do.
When he started telling me the story his and Daisy’s past I could see the love in everything that he did for her. That his whole life was surrounded by the idea that one day he would be with Daisy. The more he told me about his plan to get her back the more I thought about how this could have affected Daisy. She while only for a short period was in love with Tom she did one love him. I also thought about how she has a child with him and is married to him. I was thinking of all the ways that this could go horribly wrong and also all the ways that it could go so well. I had been thinking about how Daisy could find out how I helped end her marriage and hate me for it, she was my only true friend. I also at the same time was thinking about how much she loved Gatsby. I was with her when she knew him as a young soldier and how madly in love with him she was and how heartbroken she was when she couldn’t marry him.

What I was feeling when Nick kissed me.

That night talking about Gatsby and Daisy’s love to Nick had made me feel empty inside because I wanted something like that. A type of love that makes people go crazy for them the kind that the other person would do anything for. Then Nick kissed and held me in a way that I knew that if I wanted to I could have that with him, or so I had thought. After our night together he had been close with me, but like everything that would fade as well.
That night was one of the best nights of my life together with him I could have stayed for the rest of my life. When he held me tight in his arms I felt safe a secure never knowing what was planned for us. Being with him made me feel so happy. I never knew that a man could make me feel this way. You see I’ve been with other men but never one like Nick he was kind and made me feel important. He would talk to me as an equal and because of that make me feel like I was floating on a cloud. While he might have been doing this for himself how he held me and kissed me caused me to feel like I was the only one that he was thinking about. Nick made me happy, he made me feel safe, and when we kissed that one night he made me realize that I only wanted him for the rest of my life.

What I was thinking when Gatsby died

When I heard the news of Gatsby’s death I couldn’t believe it. This man had always been fo filled with life, with love I didn’t think that it was possible for him to die. My second thought was does Daisy know. She loved so much I knew better than most because of how much she confided in me, how much she truly loved Gatsby. After they got together she would only talk of him, his parties, how much she wanted to get away from Tom. Now this man who was going to save her from all of this was gone and there was no coming back from this.
After I had thoroughly thought about Daisy it crept into my mind what about Nick. While I would never tell him this I held a great deal of affection for him and I knew that he admired Gatsby greatly. The Gatsby was Nick’s only true friend that while he was a liar just like me he was one of the only true men in this city which is what Nick liked so much about him. Gatsby while with all his faults was a good man a heart and the world is a worse place not having him in it. Gatsby was a man filled with life and secrets which is what made him such a blast to be with because you never truly knew what was the truth. It was beautiful that way, he was beautiful that way.

Why I lied to Nick about having a fiancé

The reason that I lied to Nick about having a fiancé is because I couldn’t be with him anymore. He was always brooding after Gatsby died I knew that he meant a lot to him that his death affect Nick the most but he change in some way that even I can explain. Before Gatsby’s death he was fun a little uptight but never the less fun to be with, fun to go to parties with, and made me have a good time. He was mad at me for not going to the funeral but with all the accusations that had been flying around about Gatsby I couldn’t afford to go, he was a crook, a con artist, accused of having an affair with a woman, and most importantly he was a murder.
Nick was so obsessed with this man that he could never see how he could harm the others around him. I had trusted him with my friend thinking that his money could get her out of a bad marriage, thinking that she could be more than just a little fool with him. I know know that i should have never tried to get the two of them back together, that if i had never done that things would be different.
Therefore when Nick found me that day and asked if I was with anyone I said yes that I was engaged because it's better than being with him. He would always make me think of my mistakes and the people I lost. Then again he would be the only one that would be able to make me happy and have to be truthful, but I know that neither of those thing can actually happen, not after how I helped Gatsby.

Why I helped Gatsby Get with Daisy Buchanan

Some People ask me why I helped Gatsby set him and Daisy up? The answer is simple he was a man in love with a woman who love him too. I knew that Daisy wasn’t happy with Tom and some days I wondered if she ever was. When he asked me to have tea with Nick and ask him to help Gatsby I been wondering if I had helped Daisy escape on her wedding day if she would be happy, so I made the decision to help Gatsby. I had thought that maybe this would be a second s chance to do things the right way.
When he first told me to help him out I was hesitant because I didn’t know how to react. Knowing that Daisy was a married woman with a child, but in a unhappy relationship. I could help end a marriage or I could not help Gatsby out and not have envied Nick over for tea and tried to keep in tacked a already broken marriage.
When I chose to help Gatsby I knew that it wouldn’t be easy because I would have to keep this from Daisy or if she found out that I had some part of the ending of her marriage and she hated me it would destroy me. You see Daisy is my only real friend she may seem like a little fool but that’s only because it's what her mother told her to be. In reality she is much smarter and more cunning that she appears to be. Knowing all the risk I chose to help Gatsby because I wanted her to be happy, like how she use to be when we were younger, when she was with Gatsby, and when she still was free.
